Halloween Malfunction

Thankfully the malfunction wasn't a wardrobe malfunction, but it was a heavy hitter for me. It was a camera malfunction. Just as we had finished getting the girls ready in their costumes (as Brittany and Eleanor of the Chipettes), I got out my camera to take pictures of them, and experienced my first serious camera malfunction. While I realize this is not an earth shattering problem, for a person who logs most memories away in the form of pictures, this was a disappointing night to miss. There was no time to try to fix a problem then, our friends were waiting for us with their kids, the trick-or-treating had officially gotten under way, and the Chipettes were desperate to join the fun. I grabbed my ancient old camera that has been dropped on it's head more times than it should, and got these blah pictures. I tried taking others, but everything else came out blurry (getting dropped on your head too much will do that to a person or camera).
Our little chipettes had a great evening, for the most part. They loved getting compliments on their look, collected mass quantities of candy, and had a ton of fun. Lyla, however, had a rough ending. She started running down the sidewalk to our house (in the dark), tripped, fell, and ended up with two bloody knees. Not fun, but other than that, it was a great evening for both girls, or should I say, chipmunks.
