I was rather diappointed with myself this year that I didn’t take many pictures over Thanksgiving. I’m not sure why - I had my camera there at Hartfield with me, but I guess I just didn’t bring it out much. The following are a mix of camera pictures and phone pictures.
As always, when the weather tolerates, the girls have the most fun outside. They build forts, play down at the water, play soccer or kickball, and generally just enjoy being outside together. Additionally, Maggie and Cayenne love being together outside at Hartfield. They have so much fun racing, chasing, and exploring!
There was a new addition to the outdoor fun this year. The Williams got a boat, so they took us out on the water for a couple fun drives and even an attempt at fishing. It’s a great boat, and I’m sure it will be lots of fun this summer.
Of course we had our traditional Thanksgiving meal complete with oysters and the turkey. The meal was delicious as always, and afterwards we enjoyed watching the Redskins keep it close with the Cowboys in some afternoon football. Maggie seemed to entertain herself looking for moles. She would get on the scent, dig a hole, stick her nose in the hole, move forward 6”, dig, put face in the hole, walk 6”…you get the idea. She never found a mole, but she was looking hard - creating a little mine field of small holes all over the front yard.
As always, it was a great time to be with family, enjoy some time at Hartfield and reflect on how much we have to be thankful for!
