Sesame Place

Yesterday, we spent the day at Sesame Place in Langhorne, PA. We drove up to PA on Sunday afternoon. The trip was pretty rough as we sat in lots of traffic, but when we finally arrived to the hotel, the girls were full of energy and ready to head down to the pool. We got everyone changed into bathing suits, went down to the pool, and just when the girls got in, it started thundering, and a big rain/thunderstorm followed. Not the best start to the trip. Anyway, we packed everyone up and found a Dave and Busters not too far from the hotel, and had dinner, played games, and the girls got to run out their energy to get ready for bed time. Thankfully, we had a nice day yesterday to be at the park. Lyla said she was excited (not so sure she knew what she was going to be excited about), but Nina was very very excited. Her first order of business was to ride the roller coaster there. Mark and I concurred that she rode the roller coaster between 12-15 times. We lost track, obviously, but we know it was at least 12 and probably more. She's like Mark - she loves her roller coasters! All the rides and attractions were kid-friendly, so they were both able to go on all the rides as long as Mark or I were with them.
Lyla was very excited to meet Cookie Monster. You can't tell it by her face in this picture, but she's a big fan!
We took a little break after lunch to watch the Abby Cadabby Treasure Hunt show.

Then after the show, we changed into our bathing suit attire for all the water attractions. We ended up spending the next several hours with all the water rides, but I put my camera in the car as I didn't want to leave it alone in our wagon while we were in the water rides. So, the last half of the day I have no pictures for. Lyla really started to tucker out in the late afternoon, so I took her to see Elmo Rocks while Mark and Nina hit up a few more bigger kid water rides. We rounded things out with a few more rides on the roller coaster. Here is one of Nina and I's rides on the roller coaster when we got in the first car. I'm the one laughing, and she's the one screaming! We left pretty exhausted, but it was a fun day.
