On Saturday, Lyla had her last soccer game of the fall season with the Strawberry Shortkicks. The game followed a very eventful Halloween Friday, and to make it even worse, her game was farther away than any of her other games, it started at 8 am, and it was FREEZING!! We have been a little encouraged in the last half of the season with Lyla and soccer. As I posted before, she has always loved playing soccer and played with such enthusiasm. This season, not so much. While she wasn’t back to her old self by the last game, she certainly seemed more like it than she had prior in the season, so that was a good way to end.
The girls were freezing, but they did a great job. After the game, a few parents met together with the girls at Dunkin’ Donuts to celebrate a great season. Lyla actually cried real tears after we left Dunkin’ Donuts. She really liked her teammates, and was very sad to see them part.
