Fall Season Ending Tournament

I’m a little late in updating, but the weekend after our WVA hiking trip, Lyla had her last tournament of the fall season.  It was tough missing the first five weeks of the season with an ankle injury, then she got a minor concussion after a week back from the ankle injury, but we were proud of the way she battled back and kept working hard to get back to her old self.  The team ended up with a good start on the first day of the tournament, but ended up losing in the semi-finals to a team they beat the day prior, so while that was disappointing to be off their game during the semis, we were glad that Lyla got to enjoy at least the last half of the season on the field with her team.  They’ll take a break for the second half of November and most of December, then State Cup will start up in January.  As always, we love watching the girls do things they enjoy, and while sports/practices can keep things busy, we enjoy it and appreicate all the intangibles that competing in sports adds to their lives.
