At the end of June, the girls and I took the day to check out a new hiking spot in Cunningam Falls, MD. It was a hot and humid day, and storms were in the forecast for the afternoon, so we saw no one on the trail. It was like we had the whole forest to ourselves which Cayenne enjoyed because that meant she didn’t have to be on a leash at all. The hike was supposed to be about five miles with a couple overlooks, but taking a little detour to the falls created a longer trip for us, but it was worth it. Cunningham Falls is the longest cascading waterfall in Maryland. I only had my phone with me to take pictures, so the photos don’t quite do it justice, but it was a pretty place. By the time we got to the car though we were tired, now very wet (from playing in the falls), and I didn’t bring towels or changes of clothes. Whoops! Anyway, we had fun being out for the day together and checking out a new place in this continued time of social distancing.
