Catching up to Spring

Catching up a little bit to what’s been happening this spring - we’ll start with the Father/Daughter dance at Lyla’s school.  The dance was on a Friday evening, and Lyla has soccer practice on Friday evenings as well.  It just happened that that day was one of the warmest we’ve had at 80+ degrees, so we had one sweaty and hot little girl after practice.  Amazingly enough, she did the fastest transformation ever, and this was the result just 25 minutes after we had arrived at home.  She looked adorable, and Mark looked very handsome.  The two of them had a great time at the dance!
Lyla has been busy with soccer the past couple weeks.  Practices and games are in full swing, so we’ve had busy weekday evenings and have enjoyed watching quite a few games already.  Lyla has such a great group of girls on her team, and we’ve enjoyed this year of the girls playing together so much.  Lyla really enjoys it also, so we’re happy for her. It’s fun to watch too!

Nina’s team is rounding out the last two weekends of competitions for their seaon.  This has been somewhat of a challenging year for Nina and cheer, and while she’s enjoyed herself, this will most likely be her last year with it. She’s got one more compeition ahead to finish things out, then we’re excited to see what’s next for her.

Take Your Child to Work day was last week, and since Mark’s day at work was going to be filled with meetings, Nina and Lyla got to come along with me for a day in the life of a fitness teacher and mom.  Before heading out to teach, they did some laundry, then they came to class with me and participated in Body Flow (which they said was much harder than they thought it was going to be).  After I was done teaching, they had to shop for some groceries at Costco, then come home to unload the car and take Cayenne on her exercise.  It wasn’t all work and chores though.  They did get taken out to  Chick Fil-A for lunch and milkshakes, and it was fun having two little companions to hang with during the day.
