The visit of the leprechauns is a big thing in kindergarten. All the kids are invited to make a leprechaun trap at home, bring it in to school, and the traps get set up in the classroom before St. Patrick’s Day in hopes of catching the elusive leprechaun. Mark and Nina made hers with a trip line attached to the stick that holds up the top. When the leprechaun trips the wire, the stick falls causing the trap to close, but somehow he managed to escape. The kindergarten teachers encouraged the parents to continue the fun last night when the kids set up their traps again at home. So, when the girls got up this morning, they saw the evidence that the leprechaun had indeed visited but escaped again!
He used the bathroom, got in the treat box, turned over couch cushions, and put the pots in the family room. That naughty leprechaun! Nina has figured out that Santa isn’t real and doesn’t believe in fairies, etc. but she believes the leprechaun visited.
