The Bad and the Very, Very Ugly

It took me a little while to find these old pictures.  I should have just given up, but I thought that wouldn’t be quite as much fun.  So, for the “bad” dress…

It was 1992, so I’m making that my excuse.  It was in the days when Jessica McClintock was still cool – all you early 90’s prom goers know what I mean.  I was a sophomore in high school when I wore this dress, but I still have it because my mom gave me a bag of old stuff from their house not too long ago, so this dress along with the next one were part of what I had left behind.

Now, for the very, very ugly dress.  I’m just hoping that Jane has use for teal sequins, because that’s all there is to this dress.  Nina and Lyla love a book called Harry By the Sea.  It’s about a dog, Harry, that goes on a trip to the beach with his family.  He goes for a walk on the beach when a big wave comes from behind and crashes right on top of him. The wave rolls back, and Harry was left floating in the water, completely covered with seaweed.  “He didn’t look like a dog anymore – he looked like something from the bottom of the sea.”  That is what I equate this dress to.  People see Harry and scream, “It’s a Sea Monster!”  and, “It’s a Sea Serpent, it’s a Bushy –backed Sea Slug!”  All things you might want to shout when you see this dress…

I hope Jane can find something useful to do with it.

BTW, Thanks, Sandra, for the dresses you dropped by on Friday!

  1. I don't think either of these dresses are actually that bad. I mean, don't wear them to your next evening gown event, but you still look pretty!
