Zoo (last ones)

Just a few more of the zoo. Obviously, this was quite a day!

Here are more pictures from our day at the zoo...

A Trip to the Zoo

Today, Shenley and I took Nina and Emme to the National Zoo. The girls had a great time, and we got to see lots of very neat animals. The highlights were seeing Tai Shan, the zoo's growing baby panda, seeing the new tiger cubs, and getting pretty close to a very big elephant and hippo. By the end of the zoo trip, all four girls were exhausted!

Rolling Over

Nina really likes to roll over and enjoys the new view propped up on her elbows. However, sometimes she forgets that she can get back over on her back and she just puts her face down and cries. Once she remembers or gets some help from mom, she's happy again.

Little Skins Fan

After getting ready for the big game, unfortunately, I didn't get many opportunities to teach Nina "Hail to the Redskins."

Another Fun Weekend

Thanks again to Mousey and Poppy who watched Nina (and also to Garland's parents who watched Emme) so Shenley, Garland, Mark, and I could spend the weekend in Baltimore while Mark was part of the Celebrity Golf Tour at Mountain Branch Golf Course. We had a great weekend of fun (parties, reggae band, Orioles/Yankees game, DC United game), but here are some pictures of the serious stuff. Mark was teamed with former Redskin, Joe Washington, and Garland served as companion/shot advisor/comic relief for Mark. We were very happy to see Nina when we got back.

Toys

Nina has discovered that toys are just as good for chewing on as they are for playing with.

A Visit from Grandparents

Nina had the pleasure of having her Grandma and Grandpa Maynard visit her for the weekend. They had fun going shopping for the Bumbo with her, going to the DC United game on Saturday, and going to church with her on Sunday. They also made her mother very happy by helping to outfit her for the upcoming Redskins season (pictures to come). Thanks for the visit Grandma and Grandpa!!!

I Love My Bumbo

The Bumbo has been a very exciting new purchase. Nina feels like quite the big girl sitting in it.

3 Months Old

Nina is now a happy (most of the time) three month old!

Family Fun

Nina and I visited Haymarket again where we got to hang with Auntie Shen, Emme, and the grandparents. We also had fun showing off the very cool visors made by the girls' Colorado cousins, Mia and Faith. Mia and Faith made these for Emme and Nina while having a 10-day "camp" with their grandparents, Cheryl and Jim. Great job on the visors, Mia and Faith!

Rolling Over is Hard Work

Nina was practicing her rolling over when she decided she needed to stop and take a little cat nap. This is how she fell asleep. Evidentally, rolling over is very hard work.

Getting Bigger

Our little girl is growing up!

More Cousin Fun

While Mark and I were in Chicago (thanks grandparents for the weekend away!), Nina and Emme had cousin fun. Emme was nice enough to play with Nina and then ends up getting her hair pulled - hopefully not a sign of future interactions. Emme is still much more of an artist than Nina at this point, so Nina will have some catching up to do in that area!
