CROCS

Nina got some CROCS from our friends, Kevin and Pam, last night. We got home too late for her to try them on, so when she got up this morning I let her try them. She loved them and didn't want to take them off. She stomped around in them for awhile then needed to get close up to really check them out!

Little Mommy

Nina has really surprised me with this gift from her Grandma and Grandpa Maynard. As she is normally so into balls, running around, etc., I thought it might take her awhile to get the idea of a baby doll. However, aside from occasionally chewing on it's face, she has been quite gentle with it. She definitely knows one thing babies like - their bottle!

More Party Pictures

1 Year Old!!

So, yesterday was the big day, and our little girl enjoyed her day! As far as the "Nina highlights" go - she got two yogurts (instead of the strict rule of one), a bottle in the middle of the day (a luxury that she usually isn't afforded anymore), a house full of balloons, massive attention, her fill of cake, a mid-party outfit change (due to the previous highlight), and staying up late. The highlights for Mark and I were reflecting back on the year we've had and remarking how fast time has flown...well, at least after the first three months. We opted to just keep things very low key and have family over, but we really enjoyed the evening, and we know Nina did also.

A Day at Tarara

Yesterday, we took advantage of the beautiful day and made it to Tarara's Winds and Wine Festival. We picked Mark up at the airport and then spent the day listening to music, watching kites, taking a wagon ride, and just hanging out enjoying the beautiful day. Here is a little clip of Nina getting into the music. I missed some of Nina's "dancing" because I didn't have my camera, but she gets into it again at around the 20 second mark.

What a Day!

This morning, Nina and I left as soon as she woke up to spend the morning with Emme and my mom at Emme's house. Then, we got to go to the hospital to visit Ryleigh, and we all met back up at my mom and dad's house to spend the rest of the day. Nina really enjoyed playing with Emme, visiting Cobi, Uncle Bo, Lauren, Poppy, and Mousey. Needless to say, by the end of the day she and I were pretty wiped out!

Ryleigh Ann Williams

Welcome to the world, Ryleigh Ann Williams!!!!

Ryleigh is an adorable little thing who was born this morning around 8:30, weighing 8 pounds 1 ounce, measuring 19 inches long. Proud parents, Shenley and Garland, and big sister Emme are doing great!

Bouncy Girl

Nina really liked getting bounced on her big pink ball. Mark thought he needed to stop because he was worried that all the bouncing might make her sick, but she cried so hard when they stopped, so they just kept bouncing!

Mother's Day

I had a very nice first Mother's Day this year. Mark and Nina treated me to beautiful flowers, nice gifts, and very sweet cards. Then, we all met out at my mom and dad's so the boys could make a very nice lunch for us ladies. It was a great day. As usual, Nina enjoyed playing with Emme (a.k.a. Ariel for the day).

Here is a little video of Emme, the crazy sheep.

New Tooth

Nina now has four teeth with another one getting ready to come through...very exciting. She also likes carrying around her panda and looking at Mark's coaching cards and pointing out "daddy."

Fun on the Farm

Yesterday, Shenley and I took the girls to see the animals on the farm. While Emme seemed to like the cows, Nina definitely didn't. We saw some baby piglets, baby goats, sheep, cows, horses, turkeys, bunnies, and ducks to name a few. Nina's personal favorite was the duck (which she calls, "dut"), and we finished the trip off with a picnic and playing on the farm's playground. It was quite the fun trip.

This is Trouble

Caught in the act...
The Evidence...
The face after being told, "NO"
