Fun in the Evening
The later part of the evening is always a tough time for Nina. She's tired and fussy, but it's not quite time to eat and go to bed yet. Despite that, it's probably part of her favorite time of day because she gets a lot of individual attention from both of us.

A Trip to New York
Nina and I went to DC United's first round playoff game yesterday against the NY Red Bulls. The family members and friends of DCU players rode in a charter bus up to the game, tailgated with some fans in the windy and cold parking lot, watched the game, and rode back home at the end of the day. Nina was a real trooper and even did some sleeping in the very noisy bus! It was quite an adventure, and we were so happy that we got to see the team win!!

First Try with Cereal
Nina had her first cereal meal today. It ended up with more down the front of her than in her mouth. She thought it was kind of fun at first, then the fun wore off. She also happened to sneeze with a full mouth of cereal that, of course, sprayed all over the front of me! We both changed clothes after the cereal attempt, and she tried reading instead!

The Catch of His Life...
...and I'm not talking about his wife! For those of you who know Mark well, you know his love of bass fishing. Well, Mark had the catch of his life this weekend at a pond down at Hartfield. He caught his biggest bass to date weighing in at 7.3 lbs. and 23" long! Does the size of the smile convey enough how happy Mark was? He threw it back after the pictures and hopes to catch it again next year when it's even bigger.
A Visit to Wakefield School
Before taking off to Hartfield for the weekend, Shenley and I took Nina and Emme to Wakefield School to visit Mousey and Poppy at work. We got to enjoy lunch while Mousey and Poppy played with the girls. It was a great visit, and we were glad the little ones got to burn off some energy before the long car ride.
